Hi, I have just cut my tele out on the band saw.

I want to do the final shaping of it now and was just wondering how you guys shape the edges of the body to get a nice curved edge.

Do you just sand by hand or use another technique?

Here is the body in question...

Generally the final shape is done with a router and a template with the roundover (or edges as you call it) being done by a router. If you don't have a router or access to one you could probably get by with a lot of elbow grease and sandpaper.

I use a Round over router bit one with a bearing as a guide. I don’t think it would take much to round it over by hand with files/sandpaper. One area to be carful about is wear the neck plate sits. Trace it out on the body so you do not round over under it. It’s a one time mistake I did it on my first Strat copy pretty easy one to do.
