Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forum and new to guitar modding in general. I have had a lot of work done on my guitars and realized the other day I have tons of spare parts and want to build a guitar out of everything I have. I don't have any tele neck pickups but I have some spare single coils out of strats. I was wondering if I could use a strat middle texas special pick up in the neck position of this parts tele? I'm using a Dimarzio chopper t in the bridge.

Go for it. Just note that Strat pickups are larger than Tele neck pickups, so you'll have to rout the pickguard accordingly.

A Strat pu at the neck is a nice match for a Tele bridge pu.

BTW, Ccoons, welcome to the TDPRI!

Give us some Pix on that build if you can.

I put a strat pickup in the neck of one I built, It sounds very cool with a stock bridge pickup!!

it's an old school mod, but i really like it. you will need to cut the guard accordingly and route the body a little, but after that you're good to go.
