Apart from being possibly the two dumbest names ever thought of for pedals am I correct in thinking the Dano is essentially a Guv'nor clone?
How do they compare soundwise,I'm getting good results from the Dano with its 3eq pots into a the clean channel of BD for Punk styles but would the Guv'nor be considered a better option? They're not too expensive so I'd consider trying one....any views out there?
One odd point about the Dano is it seems to give a slightly "distant" feel.Good points are it gives a satisfactory "thump" when muting the bass strings and it"juices" well given a push from behind by an OD-9 or Bad Monkey.....

Your description of the Daddy-O is perfect. I kinda like that slightly distant cheap sound for punk barre chord bashing though. The Guv'nor I tried several years ago did sound pretty similar. I don't remember what jacks were on the Marshall, but the ones on the Dano are mighty cheesy. Note that the way Dano pedals are built, all the fragile stuff is built in a plastic housing.

Yeah I do the barre chord thing with it a lot! I have a few others, all of which do their own thing but just never seem right in the wind up.I might just give the Guv a go then, maybe I'll just ask around and see if I could borrow one for a practice sometime...
Agree on the trashy jacks,I got another one of them last year because I can see them letting me down without warning, plus the pot shafts and knobs don't seem too sturdy either.....
