Hello ............... does anyone know what the new Stratocaster XIIs are retailing for? This is the one where half the strings go thru the body and half go thru the back of the bridge plate. Haven't been able to locate any on the Internet.

i found this on the fender japan website:
http://www.fenderjapan.co.jp/fender/e_guitar_bass/st12_90tx.htm
it says the retail is 94,500 yen, which is about $873 U.S. Dollars, so, i guess the actual price would be like 60% of that, which is about $523...but i guess youd have to add on shipping and all that jazz to get it here.....-john

also that matching headstock burgandy mist one is pretty cool...i sorta wish they would use the old styled 12 string headstocks though....-john

best idea i saw was on john mclaughlin's rex bogue doubleneck
the pegs alternate between regular and 90 degree (old spanish style) on the 12string so from the front it looks like a regular 3 - a side headstock
just my $0.12

Isn't that what Rickenbacker has been doing for years?

I don't think that Twelve string version suits the Stratocaster design in overall

The overall thing looks kinda odd.
Why don't they just reissue the Electric XII? that's a far better looking guitar

60% off list? I wish that were true. Shops here offer 20% off as a standard... more during sales of course. But 20% is the norm.
