I recently bought these pickups advertised as 1999 American Standard pickups. Is there any way that I can positively ID them as such? The PU's in my 2005 American tele look much different and have numbers written on them. Thanks!

Very hard to guess the brand. Anyway... the neck pickup seems to be a vintage replica, the bridge one doesn't have the brass baseplate so i guess they come from a different set of pup's, hope someone will add more.

Bump... so no one knows any distinguishing marks for '99 american tele pickups?

The bridge pup has what appears to be a fair amount of rust on the pole pieces, as well as plastic-insulated wire. The neck has cloth-covered wire. I would say with a decent confidence level that these are probably NOT a set of pickups. From that, I guess you could say that at least one of them isn't a '99 american tele pickup.
Then again, the wire on either pup could have been added/changed later....

I've found out two auctions on ebay for each american standard tele pu's and they look exactly like yours, they could be originals.

I just went cruising on ebay and found that the bridge pup looks like it could be real, but unless the neck pup had its lead wires changed, it is not (the pups on ebay didn't have cloth wire).
