Hello all
I recently picked up this '93 WW2 strat, which i really like BTW. I decided to change the pickups to something a little hotter. When i removed the pickguard these creme colored bobbins jumped out at me. Has anyone ever seen these? I measured the pu's ohms and the bridge measured 6.75, the mid was 6.80, and the neck is 6.77. I've had quite a few strats and have never seen these colored bobbins before. Any thoughts?

1) What is a WW2 strat?
2) The only time I have seen magnets like that on a 'strat' pickup they were in a Made in ASia guitar.

WW2 Strat? World War II maybe? My guess is they are some ceramic pickups, of some generic origin, with 6 steel slugs, and the magnets glued on the bottom.

Waynes World 2 made in Mexico, I believe these are stock pickups.

I am going to think those pickups came from an inexpensive source in ASia and were put into the guitar in MExico....if they are original to the guitar.
