Heres my 1948 Princeton. Sounds better than she looks, really rips it up! I have the matching 1948 Deluxe and Pro to boot and they are quite a trio of brothers in arms.

This is my 1951 Fender TV Front Deluxe Amp after I had it retweeded at MOJO. They did a beautiful job and I highly reccomend them to anyone wanting a cabinet or amp recovered as I had stripped off the old tweed about 40+ years ago and painted it with white vinyl paint. Chalk it up to a learning experience. The folks at MOJO gave it the closest thing to a factory recovering you could get, but, I left the original grill and lower rear panel on, They fabricated a new rear top panel, and I sealed the orininal in several layers of plastic bags and paper to keep the asbestos locked away. I'm not cutting the power cord off (2-wire), but I'm putting a 3-wire grounded extension cord clamped to the chassis and with the chassis grounded thru the ground pin to make it safe.

I'd like to join the club...its not a fender though similar vintage with a tv and tweed like circuit. Old school recordplayer with a 6L6, 6av6 for mic and 6au6 for the phono circuit and 5y3gt. It eventually needed a cap and filter job and had a slight tweed mod done by a guru tech. Its been my daily player inwhich various speakers have been tried...orginally a old 12" Jensen and then some other 8, 10 and 12's which all had charm. However with the recent purchase of my first affinity tele along with a Weber Ceramic Sig 10S in the tv...its just mad nutz.

got a 52 b/c transition. just did caps, some resistors,3 prong. now it needs a nice cabinet, as its currently housed in a legend cab. I've used it with a variety of speakers and it has always sounded good. hardest thing was to find 6sc7 tubes that are not micro phonic, just had to buy an bunch and find 2 good ones that matched. got this and a 54 c/d from a polka band that had cut them down into heads for a pa, along with a 57 vibrolux that they hadn't chopped yet talk about trash to treasures.

I am a fan of the tv front Fender amps. I have been working on a few myself. I am working on recreating a Champion 800, there were very few made. I am making the chassis cabinet and all. The green tweed has been hard to find, so far no luck, some close but not quite right, I did find some purple Mohair, thats really close I will just have to fade it quite a bit. I am using all vintage parts. I will post pics of my progress if any one is interested.
I just finished a point to point 5E3 for a fender deluxe. I used old iron i got from a 1949 radio, the OT is from Mercury Magnetics. I am building the cabinet myself. I am having trouble getting some dimentions. I have the overall dimentions, but cant find some of the detail dimentions. I live in a small town so there arent a whole lot of them laying around for me to measure. the measurements I need are the cut out for the front panel on the Deluxe and the Pro. I am not trying to fool anyone to thinking I have an original one I just like building the stuff and Fender is all I am interested in. Hopefully I can join your club with the fake ones. they are all original fender circuts though.
If any one has the cut out dimentions, or could measure theirs I would appreciate it. all I need is the measurement in from each edge in towards th opening. top, bottom, sides.

Here is my 1948 Pro.

The paper capacitors were changed awhile back, but I'm reasonably sure the speaker is original and never reconed. It makes my Tele sound godly, but for some reason it doesn't seem to like Strats.

Hey guys. My main amp is my beloved '51 Fender Pro. I'll post some pics soon. I'd like to hear from folks who appreciate these early designs from Leo and the boys. And if you've got pics... let's see em!
