I've been wanting it since before it was released, now I have it! Filled with pictures of David Gilmour and his storied Black Strat (as well as other, slightly-less-storied guitars). A fun book that's inspiring me to keep working on my parts-Strat.

Very cool.
So...how do we nail down Gilmour's tone?

Short of a hand transplant, I have few ideas. Practice, maybe?

Man...don't I know that. I have years of practice ahead of me just to sound kinda decent. But I am enjoying the journey though.
That has to be the most important thing....enjoy the journey, or else it just won't be fun anymore. Then, you stop practicing and well...you know what happens then.

I've been wanting to but this book but for some reason I have been procrastinating on it. My local GC has a copy but it's wrapped in plastic. I wanted to look at it before buying but I guess it's a good thing it's wrapped. Too many hands on a new book and soon it'll look used but still for sale at a new book price.
