I have a '78 Fender Twin and it has a problem with the vibrato, in that there is none. I can hear faint clicking through the speakers and as I turn up the intensity the clicking gets louder, and as I turn the speed the clicking gets faster but thats all it is. Clicking.
Otherwise the amp works as normal. Any ideas? My initial hunch is a bad cap.

Is the pedal plugged in? If not it won't work. The input plug has to be grounded (which is what the pedal does) in order for it to work.

Yeah, the pedal is plugged in, although I'm suspicious know about it's wiring. The reverb part of the pedal is working, but the vib does nothing.
In theory, if the reverb part of the pedal works and I swap the plugs shouldn't my reverb on/off stop working and my vibrato start working? Is it more complicated than that?

Try switching the pedal so the reverb controller controls the tremolo. If that doesn't do it, it's most probably one of those disc caps .01 or .02. Sounds like your roach is working.
