I have these pups in my new MIM Ash bodied tele, and I don't find them as you describe. Perhaps you've got some wiring error ? The neck pup in mine has a nice balanced tone over the spectrum and the bridge is "polite", in fact I wish it had some additional kick in the treble and bass. They are not "hot" or twang monsters, just good overall tele pups.

thanks, does the neck sound less twang than the bridge? may be you have the wiring diagram from your guit,so i can figure out but i follow exactly the diagram that came with the 4way switch.

Sorry, I don't have the wiring diagram, but it's a standard 3 way switch on mine. Did you add a wire (soldered) onto the neck pickup cover ? That I do know must be done with the four way switch for the series/parallel function.
The neck does sound less twangy than the bridge in my setup, it should. Have you looked at mrgearhead.com for wiring diagrams ?
You can try this link, he explains the grounding of the neck pup very well

I put the Vintage Noiseless in my first partscaster, a Thinline body from StewMac, and didn't like them. They were just too thin sounding for my taste. Too much treble and not enough punch. I switched them out with a set of Texas Specials and they had the bite and crunch that I was looking for.

I had a Jeff Beck Strat with Hot Noiseless pickups and loved them--there's a lot to be said for a Strat that doesn't hum and buzz! However, I wound up trading the guitar to get a better one (a Grosh ElectraJet Standard).
