Guitars and effects for my Metro 45

So, I got this Metro Amp JTM 45 in an oversized combo with UK Celestion Heritage Greenbacks. It sounds sweet! Now I am finding that it is harder to choose my next purchases be it guitars or pedals to compliment it. It is soooo nice, that a lot of what I would normally consider buying is up for debate because it may not be good enough (taint the sound) of the metro.

To give you a better idea, I tend to look at old 70's (usually) copy guitars (lp's, tele's, strats), modern ric copies, as well as pedals such as the M13, behringer rip offs (I love my echo park clone), and other pedals that are somewhat inexpensive yet have a cool character (Dano cool cats, etc).

So on a budget and excluding boutique gear, what kind of stuff would you look for if you were in my shoes? I tend to like indie rock from the likes of Death Cab For Cutie to Wilco, as well as post rock bands like Explosions in the sky, and modern worship music like Hillsong United, Matt Redman, and Chris Tomlin.

I found a great deal on a M13 and may grab it because it is 200.00 less than it goes for new. But would this sound good through such a nice amp? I'm afraid it will digitize it too much (for lack of a better word).
