I seriously doubt we'll see any present-owners here given the history of these amps (and the fact that Tom Petty has probably bought all of them in existance). They were horribly unstable, ran ridiculously hot, and even caught fire. But when they worked, Oh Lordy. I owned two back in the late 60's. The first was stolen. I immediately found another for $150. I drove a 2-12 cab loaded with Altec 417-A's, the equivelant to JBL D-120's at the time. My Rickenbacker 360-12 thru this rig was jangle heaven. Years later, I used this head into a 4-12 Marshall bottom, driven by the pre-amp output of a blackface Super Reverb. When the output Xformer finally went in '79, I took it to the shop....$200 to fix, which I did not have, and left it there. Kill me now....

The early AC100s were awesome! Herer's one that belongs to a friend of mine. It's actually a 1st year '64 single ch. red panel. Yes. These were the one's (1964) that "blew up". We actually had this amp "blow" and shoot flames out the back of the chassis! A few minor repairs and cap value changes and now she's gigging regularly. The amp beside is an AC50.
