changing tube in Champ 600

Can I change the 6v6gt stock tube in my champ with a 6L6GC I got laying around? The 6L6 is a much bigger tube, but the base looks the same.

Base is the same but it has twice as many watts

I don't know if your amp can take the increased plate voltage.
