for me it is not! I am trying to wire up a dual humbucker guitar and need some help.

Question # 1: will the direction a pickup is facing effect polarity or phase thereby changing output tone etc

Qestion # 2: How to I translate colors into north and south, for example I have a Dimarzio PAF Pro in the neck position and their website explains to combine black and white then green combined w/ ground leaves red hot. Cool but the diagram at Guitarelectronics.com shows north and south? I am trying to wire up a simple 2 humbucker w/ a 3 position lever type pickup selector, an old duper distortion (w/ just ground ,black and white) and the bridge as mentioned above (red white black green) any diagrams on this WORLD WIDE WEB? Help my band needs this guitar in action!
