Clear Lacquer over Tru-oil???

Hey guys, this might be a stupid question, but can I spay clear lacquer, acrylic or nitro, over a tru-oiled neck?

Once ya got your pop.....let her cure harden up as long as you can stand it.....On to the Clear Coat.
