I have a chance to get a set of 57/62's cheap and am thinking of putting them in my old Korean Strat. What could I expect? Are they good pups? Where are they made? Any and all opinions welcomed, Thanks.

I wanted the 'ol vintage Strat bell, chime, quack and they do deliver !!! There are a lot of opinions on the heaps of pups out there but I have read very good things about 57/62's.................that's why I bought them. Call it trying to keep it Fender. They usually go for $120 + so if you can get them cheap like you stated, I would definitely go for it ! I have had great experiences with the Texas Specials. Squier Buyer November 4th, 2009, 05:01 AM Well, I put a set in my MIM Strat and they are wonderful. Got them and they are in.....wow, just what I've been looking for too. The neck pup is my favorite, playing a little Jimi tonight, they do the job nicely. I don't think I could get the Custom Shop's for $60.cdn a set. sjtalon November 4th, 2009, 08:27 AM COOL ! I have mine wired so the bottom tone works on the bridge pup to darken it some. Strat bridges can be a little harsh. Now I set it on 5-8 and it's REAL nice. The middle tone effects the N&M You may want to go to a .1 µF cap too Happy pickin' | ||
