My Jimmie with the 60th Anniversary button and 2006 stamped pickguard said: MSN7 MS =Mexico Signature model? Yeah. I buggered the topic heading. I was supposed to write MSZ9 but I wrote MSN9 instead. Maybe the mods can fix it. Seems like around the end of 2008, they decided to "rationalize" the numbers again and started doing it the "right" way. If yours is a newer one they've gone away from the tinted neck look cause that looks stark white compared to mine. boris bubbanov November 10th, 2009, 11:28 AM My '09 red ones are paler, certainly, than my MSN6 and MSN7 ones. Not as dark as a Baja, for instance. But they're quite a bit darker than some '07 and '08 Highway Ones I have. Those are quite pale. I'm suddenly wonderin' if someday there might be an immense premium on cased guitars, very old ones, with truly white maple necks. :^) Maybe not.
