Hi folks - any other Norwegians here? :-)
I've been using TDPRI as a resource for quite a while and thought it might be a good idea to register. I'm quite impressed with the good responses and helpful tips people get here on the forum; this is really one of the best guitar forums/sites on the net.
Anyway, a little bit of information about my guitars. I used to be a strat picker until I bought my first tele in 2005. Since then I've mostly used telecasters. Here is a description of my teles:
"Partcaster" built by Gunnar Tønnesen - my primary guitar for rock/country. Birdseye maple neck w/rosewood fingerboard, 3-tone sunburst ash body. Pickups: Kent Armstrong neck, Schaller T6 bridge. Modded with a Bigsby vibrato system and a kill switch button.
Fender American Nashville B-bender - secondary guitar for country. 3-tone sunburst. I've replaced the stock middle/bridge pickups with a Lollar Vintage Blonde and Lollar Special T.
1978 Fender Telecaster Deluxe. 2-tone sunburst. I bought it used and it was in a pretty terrible shape (the previous owner had modified it with a Bigsby vib and a Joe Barden bridge pickup). I've removed the Bigsby and put on a vintage intonation compensated bridge. Plan to use this guitar in rock settings.
"Partcaster" put together by myself. 3-tone sunburst. one-piece maple neck/fingerboard, one-piece swamp ash body from Musikraft (this guitar is super light). Vintage intonation compensated bridge. Lollar Vintage T neck, Lollar Special T bridge.
I use a Dr Z EZG-50 w/Dr Z 2x12 amp.
