i've had my tele for a while, it's a MIM. great. but the pups are a little off tonewise for me. i'm looking for something that sounds really high-tech. something that sounds new. and i'm not afraid to lose the tele-twang. thanks!

I used to have an Alumitone in my strat. It does sound very new and very high-tech... I think those are the qualities I didn't like about it, but it did sound great for what it was. For the last month or two, it's just been a paperweight on my coffee table. If you want it, I'd let it go at a good price.

i'd need a single coil, to fit into my tele. i don't want to route. i see that lace is coming out with a tele pup alumitone soon. but is that just the neck?

They already make some single coil size alumitones:

though I haven't heard about a Tele bridge model (seems like a no-brainer); the neck model looks nice. . .

Joe Barden's? Simultaneously everything that's screams "Tele" and "hi-fi".
