Is there recording software for under 200 bucks that works significantly better than audacity?
Just wondering because I'm collecting recording 'stuff.'

The free trial isn't crippled in any way, and it's only $50 for the non-commercial license. Comes with a ton of plugins, is updated frequently and has a very lively and friendly user community. www.reaper.fm Frontier9 October 31st, 2009, 02:14 PM I'm a big fan of Reaper....+1 gruveb October 31st, 2009, 02:29 PM I just downloaded it and I'll mess around with it later today, hopefully. :D Thanks. superhand October 31st, 2009, 02:38 PM Check out Ardour, its free. I'm not sure if it is available for windows yet, I use it on Ubuntu Linux. Spend your $200 on a nice mic or something. I never buy software anymore. gruveb October 31st, 2009, 02:51 PM Yeah, I need another mic, some speakers and a better mixer, to start with. lol. All hobbies are so expensive. dleuen October 31st, 2009, 07:25 PM Another +1 for Reaper. In addition to being free to try and very low cost, it has excellent documentation and a great user base with very active forums.
