Wiring kits

Anybody tried a prepackaged wiring kit? Something like these here:

I want to replace the pots and maybe put in a 4 way switch on my SX. Is this a good way go?

I do the series mod for people all the time but you lose the middle parallel sound in favor of the stronger series.

How hard is it to install this stuff? I'm no expert, just a few hack jobs here and there. I've got some basic soldering skills, doesn't always look real pretty, but it works.
