Glossy again

3M Rubbing Compund & Finesse it II

I've been reading about these products and their wonderful effects on the guitars with mirror-like surfaces but I see that you apply these after wet sanding.

My question is, Is it completly necessary to wetsand or can I just apply the 3M Rubbing Compund and then the finesse it II??

The wetsanding is only neccesary to eliminate the orange peel effect after spraying. If you want to buff-up a guitar maybe its enough to only use the finesse-it
