I saw the following post on another guitar forum:

I called MF. I said that I had played a friend's SC T-170 and loved it (nothing like warming up the operator).

"I went on to say that I tore the page out of said bud's catalog called "Fall Into Savings" and the guitar is priced at $199. Catalog page 13 and the catalog code is 910T. The guy looked around his desk, said "yeah, I got the catalog right here" and took my order.

He then said, "we have a $100 rebate on this item" and I said "Really?"

And the rest is history.

Nothing vetured, nothing gained. Give them a call! The rebate offer ends on 10/31.

And PS -- The T-160 is $179 in the same catalog. You could order both!"

So this is what happened when I called:

"So I have the MF website up when I called so I have the item number available should they ask. (They asked) I'm on hold waiting for the next available customer service representative and happen to spot on the top right hand corner of the main page to say JBL when you call in. The rep comes on and I say "JBL". It seems to startle her. So I say JBL again and then say "So what do I win?". And half jokingly explain that the website says for me to say "JBL" so I must win something. She asked if I am buying something today. I said I am but nothing JBL. She says to hold on a minute. Comes back and tells me that there are different percentages off depending on your total sales for this call. The more you spend, the larger the percentage off. I got another 10% off!
Got a nice T-160 coming for my daughter and an Oasis humidifier/hygrometer kit for a total of $197.95"

Plus the rebate.
