Gotta say that their stuff looks nice. Real niche item, but cool!

Yup, I've posted about Landing other times in the past when the "short scale bass" thing comes up.

Several people here though said they don't like the Strat looking style so I've stopped mentioning them.

Also a little out of my price range but I'd consider getting one if I ever needed a new bass.

Actually, I'm digging the Strat bass look a lot. I'm surprised no one has really done that before, particularly Fender.

I have one , it sounds good.
A good size for me
Balances well.
Headstock a bit odd, don't love the string retainers and in fact it doesn't actually need them. Lets say you can get buy without them but the break angle on the A and D strings will be shallow.
The strat thing is OK but its double take inducing. Mine is very plain, no pickguard a side mount jack and J-Bass pickup config. looks somewhat incomplete. You can see mine on his site. All the guitar do-dads seem to help the look, it seems to want cluttering. If you fight the "strat-ness" you loose.
Mine does not have a bone nut, ?
Over all a winner, I went up and played it when I read this thread.
It has good sustain ,nice feel, a musical response, generally good tone.
Ive got Barto's and and Aguilar preamp in mine,4 knobs is a lot for the size but the preamp pays off, real musical, I really like Aguilar preamps.
Pricey , its all CNC and a bolt on, but its more affordable than some neck through units out there.

Thanks for the info Al!
I agree that I don't care for the headstock at all.

If I was to jones for one, the body would look something like this with either EMG soapbar or Dark Star pickups:
