Just got my Behringer UV300 true Vibrato (pitch-shifting not volume) pedal which was $30 shipped in 2 days.

As a former owner of both an old Magnatone and a VB 2 (that I sold for $300) I can tell you this :

this little crap-box is 95% of the way there.

Warbly vibrato itch ?

Consider it scratched.

(for $30)

I love that true pitch shifting vibrato , I played an old Gretsch Chet Atkins Twin years ago that had that, really nice.
Let us know where you got the pedal.
Thanks

No truer words, Mike. I love my UV300. That sound at such a low price? You can't beat the value! And who cares if the casing is plastic? At that price, a lot of players can afford to buy a second one as a back-up. Or take the guts out and put them in metal electronic project box from Pomona Electronics or Mouser Electronics or whomever. (But note that most project boxes are made of ABS plastic these days anyway. I think Behringer stompboxes can hold up quite well for a long time; some people just need to understand that these aren't wheel chocks or meat tenderizers. And just because they're called stompboxes doesn't mean one literally has to stomp on them....)

But I digress. Too much caffeine, I think.

For years, I've been able to get a spot-on VB-2/Magnatone warble with my BOSS PS-5 Super Shifter (the "Flutter" mode), but the PS-5 doesn't have a latch function--you have to stand there with your foot on the pedal. Or jerry-rig it with a brick, like I once did for a particular tune I was recording. (Oddly enough, it wasn't for a guitar track; it was for the piano track! A truly "so-sick-and-creepy-and-thoroughly-disturbing-that-it's-cool" sound!) So, for me, that's the great thing about the Behringer UV300: It's a full-fledged VB-2 clone, complete with the unlatch/bypass/latch modes--no bricks required.
