Hi! I seem to have a chance of someone bringing me some Mohawk aerosol cans from the UK . .

Can you recommend it?
What colours would you suggest for:
1. tint a maple neck to a nicely aged honey
2. vintagey blonde (still a little translucent) for a body
3. (aged) Butterscotch (also a little translucent) for another body
4. Fiesta red
Would it be possible to turn a blonde body to butterscotch with the same "neck tint" as in "1"?
Thanks already!

Here's some samples I made a while back. The blonde is really nice.

Yup, nice . . and amber for the neck . .
In another thread i found:
The classic is dye based, more like a stain and transparent so it wont hide the grain. The standard is pigment based so applying too much it will tend to go opaque and hide the grain.
So for a body i'd go with a pigment based color . . the dye based for necks or tinting (ageing)?!

Be aware that Mohawk is the main brand, but the same company carries a do-it-yourself label for hobbyists called "Behlen's" which is sold in lumberyards and woodworking catalogs here. You might have more options available than you think.
