any tonal difference between stock 70s pups and CS 69s?

i really dig the tone i have now through my fender twin and fuzz face but i'm always looking for new things to experiment with. any difference between the two?

by stock 70s i mean the pickups that are originally on the 70s reissue strat

The pickups on the MIM Classic 70's are the same as used on the early HWY1's.

They sound completly different than the CS69's.

Not sure what Fender uses in the 70's USA models.

What year is a MIA '70's' Re-issue Strat modeled after? Anything before '72 would be similar or the same as the '69, wouldn't it?

OBTW, the CS 69's are great pickups made to the same specs as JH's pups and were wound by the same woman - Avril Yberra (sp?) or at least she operated the winding machine.

CS 69 Are way better single coil pickups out there.

so yay or nay on switching them out to cs69s? all signs are kind of pointing towards yay. hmmmmmm. :neutral:

I have a set of CS69's on my hardtail and I love 'em . Can't speak on the other . Just for clarity , my CS69's are standard and the are mounted in a lefty , which orients them in reverse .
