Anyone tripped over or owns one of these innovative guitars ?.it looks useful for me ,you can slow down tracks ,record ,I believe loop etc add backing tracks and run through amps or phones .Sounds good on paper and got a good review and thumbs up:grin: in UK Guitarist mag but as ever TDPRI rules.Hate the silver color by the way .

I caught an Ovation sales rep giving a demo and staff training on it as a music store.

It's a neat idea but I prefer the money spent on a looper where you can use it with any guitar and in many ways. I have an an Ovation since 1977 so I'm not anti-Ovation but I also have an exceptional Martin and the Ovation just can't approach that tone so I guess a factor of being spoiled or snobbery is also there.

To be fair a good looper is probably 1/2 the price of the iDea guitar and my beloved OM-28 is much more. I also had possession of my JamMan when this Ovation came out.

Hey musicalmartin, I am intrigued by the concept! I am impressed by the convenience in recording up to 100 minutes without having to mess with another piece of equipment, and all at a very reasonable price!

I guess you have to consider how and how frequently it will be used.

Any reps scheduled out your way that would provide you with a "face to face" with this concept ax? They may have such an animal at the Guitar Center (they carry Ovations) here in Buffalo that I could check into and report back to you if you like!
