Hey,
I's it hard to build a boost pedal? I have heard really good things about the mini boost circuit and I would like to build one.
I will use the amz mini booster PCB.
So, do you have any experience with the mini booster circuit? Is it any good?
Thanks.

Yeah I've built a couple of these. They are dead easy.
I like them. In fact I liked it so much I used one to emulate Andy Summers boost circuit when I made a Summerscaster earlier in the year.
Enjoy!

Had a few issues with mine at first but ended up building it with cleanest sound possible with mods recommended on the AMZ site, also adjusting pickups, which were pushing the booster to distort.
Now using it on every gig and couldn’t be happier.

I commented on my AMZ mini-booster build in the thread linked by "stax" - well, since then I have mine made useable for me by tweaking it a bit to cut off some highs...

I built an AMZ MosFET boost and it was easy. They look about the same difficulty, judging from the schematics.

Thanks,
TDPRI is a great forum..
I have orderd a pcb from Jack Orman.
What about the JFETs? Is the J201 JFETs better than 2N5457 JFETs?
thanks.

In regard to the FETs I'd recommend getting both and experimenting with them to get the result that works best for you. And socket the FETs so you can change them about easily.
