I will play, my '74ish 65 Reverb with a 2x15" Bassman front ported cab, along with a couple of my old friends and a '52 I am getting to know better.

My newest guit, a 2003 Japanese Antigua.

I like this pic the most though.

For 31 years, I have used a Music Man RD-100 head. It has been in the shop twice; once to fix the on-off switch, and a second time to replace a cracked tube socket that happened when a monsoon hit the outdoor stage during a show and about a gallon of water went into the back of the head while I was playing. At one gig, it fell six feet off the top of a loaded dolly on to solid concrete. Worked perfectly. I drive two JBL E-110's in an open back cab, and I am constantly complimented on my sound. These amps are indestructable. Took me awhile to get used to the solid state front end - just a bit on the cold side - but the tube output stage warms it up. And I never have to deal with noisy microphonic 12AX7's.

No pics yet, but I have been using a Musicman 210RD one hundred combo as my only amp for the past 2 years now. With a modern dirtbox in front of it I can get a wide variety of sounds. I recently started playing with a group that is a bit more "traditional" shall we say. After the first few jams they asked me to "clean it up" a bit. I thought about it and realized that I have the ultimate clean machine IMO. A tele into a Musicman. It's like learning to play again.

Also bullet proof. What I need now is a cover.

No doubt one of the best things I've ever heard was a Tele I had plugged into a MM 210 65 I had in the shop repairing about 6 months ago - didn't want to give it back. I see some unbelievable tone machines come through here and the shimmering cleans that MM delivered along with punch and touch sensitivity was almost chewy. I can still feel it when I think about it. Yes, its an actual feeling with that kind of punch and clarity. The one I had was all tube except the recitifier. Truly a match in heaven for a country player or any player really with the right boxes in front of it. Couldnt be a better clean basis to start from. I wouldn't hesistate to buy one if I ever find one. Built tough too - like a tank.
