show us your holding devices for spraying necks

I'm trying to build a device to hold my tele neck while I spray it and although I've looked around this forum a bit I can't seem to find much info on a device for holding necks (there seems to be tons of great info on holders/rotisseries for holding bodies, but not as much for necks). I'd consider using a holder stick for my neck that would screw into the neck mounting holes, however I don't want to mess up the nice clean drill holes in the neck (the only thing I ever want to screw into the holes on the neck are the screws when attaching it to the body). My USACG neck also has a middle hole between the 4 standard neck mounting holes that I've pondered screwing a holder stick into, but I'm not 100% sure I want to do that since I simply don't want to start screwing things into the neck (especially since the truss rod is right underneath that middle hole) and I'm also wondering if one screw will be enough (I suppose it would if I screwed in it tighly enough which scares me too since I don't want to start cranking down screws too hard and possibly stressing/fracturing the wood). I was also considering using a hook into the top tuning peg hole to hang the neck since that way I'm not screwing with the screw holes, however I'm wondering if the hook would be too difficult to spray around. Anyone ever tried using a hook? The Erlewine book recommends disassembling the truss rod and using the threads on the truss rod to screw in a metal rod with a nut on the end (which I'd also have to take up welding since Erlewine suggests welding a nut onto the end of the metal rod [learning how to spray finish is hard enough; I don't understand how he expects us to also learn how to weld or to be lucky enough to know a welder to do it for us]), however that scares me to death & I don't want to do that. Any other ideas out there for a device to hold the neck while spraying? thx.

I made up a couple of these for some necks but I prefer using a 3/8 dowel in the truss rod nut hole at the heel. I also used to install one screw and just hang it by a piece of wire but it kinda blows around when your spraying .

Very easy. Get a piece of 3/8" aluminum rod and cut to length (18" seems to work well), then determine the thread for your truss rod, then tap the aluminum rod to match. Allowing you to screw the aluminum rod onto the neck as if it were a truss rod nut.

I then take a wooden rod (1 1/2" - 2") and drill a 3/8 hole in the center and using some ca glue I make a handle. On the other end of the handle I screw in a threaded hook so that I can hang the neck to dry after spraying.

Viola.

Been using these Hi-Tech holders.

I like those ideas. I'll try the Southern's "Hi-Tech holders" first (mainly since it's cheap, simple, fast, and also since I don't need to mess with the truss area), and I'll try those other ideas if that still doesn't work. BTW, this humid weather stinks for spraying conditions - been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting seems like forever for it to clear up < 55% humidity. I'm gonna go outside now and do a weather dance then pray to the weather gods.
