Hi Guys (and girls),

I've been meaning to put together a Classic Rock/Metal Strat for a while but just haven't got around to it...I've always liked the HSH format as I'm a long term Murray/Smith fan. It's amazing what a week off work with time on your hands will make you do!

I took the pic on my cameraphone so apologies for the picture quality.

The body is a 1995 MIM poplar body with an ash veneer in "Crimsonburst". It's pretty lightweight and resonant and the neck is a 21fret 2006 MIM with a rosewood fingerboard. I've fitted it with Gotoh staggered Kluson clones.

The electrics are SD JB and Alnico PRO II (bridge and neck) along with a GFS Neovin in the middle. They are controlled by a 3 way switch (I never use the in-between settings on a 5 way), the normal master volume (500k) and a master tone using a no load pot.

I haven't set it up yet but a quick play through my Blackstar HT-5 was a lot of fun. No more EMGs for me!!!
