The time finally arrived to take my Tele-Bronco to Ver. 2.0.

I added vol/tone controls with a .100 cap., contoured the body front and back, put on three coats of Stew-Mac Cherry Red tint plus clear coats and fitted Hipshot Ultralight tuners.

Nice. I like everything except for the extra long thumb rest.
Ever seen a bass with a carved in groove for a thumb rest instead of a mounted on thumb rest ? I wonder if it's possible ?

The long thumb rest was my "tone control" when the pickup was wired directly to the jack.
Yes, I've seen a groove for a thumb rest. I don't remember the brand but what they had was a sort divot made by a router bit or end mill run at an angle to the body.
