I like everything except for the extra long thumb rest. Ever seen a bass with a carved in groove for a thumb rest instead of a mounted on thumb rest ? I wonder if it's possible ? Hmmm ???? Thank you, bobbybigmac. The long thumb rest was my "tone control" when the pickup was wired directly to the jack. Yes, I've seen a groove for a thumb rest. I don't remember the brand but what they had was a sort divot made by a router bit or end mill run at an angle to the body. ponticat October 13th, 2009, 08:53 PM Very extremely cool!
