Hi,

I own a white Fender Japan '68 Reissue (lefty). And I love it!

The specs on this guitar state that it's Vintage White, however I think it's actually Arctic White.

The colour is not towards yellow like other Vintage White's I've seen... It's a vanilla ice cream colour (like Arctic White).

Here is a link to a guitar for sale on ebay. This is not my guitar but it is exactly what I own, it's even a left handed model like mine.

For reference, these colour examples of Vintage White and Arctic White are straight off Fender's web site.

What do you think? Arctic or Vintage White? Please help me ID the colour of my Reissue...

Had a look at the Fender Japan link, and it certainly looks like vintage white, not like the white in your e bay link.

I have one of the original 68 re issues (late 86/87) and they truly are a great guitar.

I agree -Japanese made Strats are great. I really love mine; as much as my American standard.

It's confusing... I agree the Fender Japan site shows a '68 reissue that is reasonably close to Vintage White, but my guitar is a "creamy" colour like the one for sale on ebay. And I think this colour is closest to Arctic White.

I bought my reissue last year. Perhaps Fender Japan changed the production colour from Vintage White to Arctic White at some point but have not updated their web site. And the ebay seller has simply taken the guitar specs off this site.... including the colour.

Agree - Arctic White is closest.
