EMG AB Afterburner

Has anyone installed an EMG AB Afterburner on a tele with texas pickups? Im seriously toying with idea.

to be used with EMG Active pickups. I used one on a EMG Strat setup and found it minimally useful. I hoped it would allow me to just boost for solos without searching for a floor pedal. It worked but so so.

Thanks for the advice. Ive taken the plunge anyway and sent my guitar out to have one fitted. Ive got a blank control plate that will be drilled to take 3 pots: Volume, Tone and afterburner (Im having the pickup selector moved deluxe style). I'll post the results in a few weeks time. If it all goes horribly wrong, I figured I could try a volume pot for each pickup and master tone.
