Has anyone tried those new acoustic guitar strings made by Red Brand called "copper bronze"? I am curious what they might sound like compared to phospher bronze and 80/20's.

Copper bronze strings?FRETCOM October 3rd, 2009, 02:43 PM Has anyone tried those new acoustic guitar strings made by Red Brand called "copper bronze"? Regards, fretcom Bill Ashton October 4th, 2009, 08:09 PM I put a set on my new Guild GAD30PCE and found them terribly brite and clangy..yet, when standing across the room with my daughter strumming the guitar they sounded pretty good. A friend tried them on his RTaylor and same kinda thing, sounded very brassy and clangy to the player, but very wonderful across the room. I would guess they could be good performing or recording strings. I took them off as I do neither, and I just could not stand my new guitar sounding like a mountain dulcimer. They did feel very good, though... FRETCOM October 5th, 2009, 02:56 PM Thanks Bill...are those copper bronze strings coated at all? Regards, fretcom Bill Ashton October 5th, 2009, 09:29 PM I do not believe so, as after a lot of playing I would have black lines on my fingers  They were Red Copper Bronze Acoustic Strings, gauged .012 to .053 | ||
