I just got a Ceriatone Dumble clone and am wowed by it. With a Tone Tubby ceramic 12", I can hear many more nuances than ever before. I love being able to hear little things like the bumpty-bump-bump of the frets when I slide a little. I can also do a lot more with bends and vibrato within bends. The overdrive is interesting sounding. The high notes sing, but without fizzle. The notes within chords are very clear and distinctive with a medium pick attack. If I hit it harder, the chord sounds more manly but also without fizz.
I bought the amp in a chassis from Nik, but the cab from Gab-kits. Before putting the chassis in the cabinet, I took a few photos. Among them is the attached photo of the transformer. It says, "Dumble, Feb. 2009." What the heck does this mean? Where does one go to get transformers made for people like Nik who sell kits and clones?
