Hey guys. Here's a link to a half dozen live videos of my band, The RaveUps, performing songs by The Yardbirds.

Of course messrs. Clapton, Beck & Page used Esquires / Tele's during their time with The Yardbirds. My challenge with The RaveUps has been to bring to the live stage as much of the fire and tone of the original recordings as I can. This particular 1985 CIJ esquire is a wonderful guitar. I play it through a variety of germanium based Tonebender style pedals (Yardbox, D*A*M '1969' and 'MKII', Fulltone SoulBender, etc.), germanium Treble Boost pedals (Keely Java Boost and D*A*M Red Rooster), germanium based fuzz pedals (mostly MI "BEO" currently), Teese RMC3 wah...all into a 2001 English Vox AC30TBX w/blues.
For the record our rhythm guitarist Bob Lewis plays a 64 sunburst Jag and a cherry 335 re-issue through an AC30TBX (w/blues)...yes I know the "TBX" designation means it has "Blues" installed ;-) Bass player Kit Newkirk plays a beautiful 1964 sunburst Epiphone Rivoli through two Vox Westminster bottoms each with a JBL 2241H 18" speakers powered by a Mark bass SD800 in Vox clothing ;-))
We are really a dedicated yardbirds tribute band...certainly not a 'look-a-like' tribute band...it's ALL about the music. We certainly have fun...have a look & a listen and let me know what you think.
