how are joe bardens for a blusy kind of song?? [Archive]

i was offered a set bardens for my strat and i was wondering if anybody has any experiences with them for this type of music...

that they are terrific. For an idea what they can do with the blues, listen to Jimmy Thackery - his tone is great (IMHO) and his playing is fantastic, as most here will vouch! Listen to Gatton on "Blues Newburg" on 88 Elmira St. for their overdriven sound. It's not really blues, but Ty Tabor's sound on most of Kings Xs 1990s albums (current album excluded) are Bardens in a Zion guitar.
I like 'em man, I really do, but I definitely reccommend listening to them for yourself, as nothing sounds quite like them, and, of course, YMMV.
