I recently acquired a Laney LC15 1x10 combo amp. The amp has no standby switch but I would like to add one. I have seen a couple of references to adding one of these that usually say something like "Install a standby switch to preserve the valves. This will ensure that the valves are properly warmed up before full anode (B+) voltage is applied." I know with an Epiphone valve junior that meant you had to splice in a switch on the red (B+) wire coming from the input transformer. Before I go cutting red wires in my amp, I was wondering if someone could let me know if the process is the same for the LC15. Thanks for your help.
