Violin Bass Bridge Help Needed

I have a fantastic Turser violin bass (vintage cream color) that I am having trouble getting dialed in. I play bass every Sunday for our worship team and this bass would add a lot to my sound "palette". I suspect this bass is just like the Rondo violin bass for any one who might own one of those.

The floating bridge is, well, a real pain to get to stay in one place once I get the bass intonated, tuned and ready. One little bump puts it all out of whack. Is there a fixed bridge solution for this type of bass?

I had a Rogue, which was probably made in the same factory, and like most instruments with floating bridges, it required a certain amount of care be taken, particularly when changing strings (gotta do one at a time!). I marked the body with a thin pen outlining the bridge location in case it got out of whack.

You can also shim the neck and raise the saddles on the bridge, which would increase the downward pressure and hold the thing a little better...

I started playing bass 38 years ago with a Hoefner Beatles Bass. I don't know in how far those present Violin Basses are structurally identical or similar, but the Hoefner was a disaster in every aspect, esp intonation.

I know, I am not being much of assistance here, but the memory of "The Violin Bass" just makes me trippin' ...

In other words, I wouldn't want to mess with it ever again.
