The Cyclone II came with 3 american Jaguar pickups.

rob2 September 21st, 2009, 04:30 AM Ah!I see, thanks, doesn't come close to the caramel!...and well done someone at Fender on the inspired positioning of the selector switches!
Still its a pity they're discontinued, both versions look like a fun instrument-possibly an interesting alternative to a Mustang ?
wolfman63 October 16th, 2009, 06:26 PM I bought one of the last new of the Cyclone II's available around here, blue. Nice guitar, good pickups. I did replace the bridge saddles with "String Saver" graphite saddles just recently. Made it a much nicer playing rig. Seems to sound better too.
bfgz October 16th, 2009, 11:54 PM Thanks for starting this club! I love those Cyclones. I just happens to be one of the only ones i DON"T have yet.
but i like having this club so i can go look at them for now!
Jerolin November 10th, 2009, 04:49 PM Well, I'm not a proper member of the club, but I'm determined to find a yellow one. I almost started a warmoth Mustang style build until I discovered the cyclones, now I've mostly forgotten the mustang.
I have a vintage Duo-Sonic from the 60s which is a similar body style, but I've never really liked the super short scale on it. This seems a better alternative for me.
Val-tone November 13th, 2009, 01:26 AM Here's my Squier Cyclone... I modified it a bit. I really like Fender Mustangs so I kind of took it in that direction.

robertbp November 13th, 2009, 02:35 AM Not too familiar with these...love that Caramel metallic, was that a stock color? What is the scale length on these? How much do they usually go for? Seems like it would be a sweet blues guitar...

Yes Carmel Metallic was a stock color for the Cyclone. The neck scale is 24.75"
