Need some help with a Crybaby mod

If any of you has experience installing a 3PDT switch into a a Crybaby for true bypass and to add an LED, I need a little help.

I thought I had it all done, but the LED only works when there's a battery installed, and the effect only works if there's AC power attached. The bypass does work.

This is very, very strange to me, because I checked and made sure that the + connection from the power supply connects to the + connection from the battery, and the grounds match up too.

Here's how I have the switch set up:

1 4 7
2 5 8
3 6 9

2, 5, 8 are the commons

1- ground side of pot
2 - open
3 - Signal from jack, a green wire, & jumpered to 4
4 - jumpered to 3
5 - to output jack tip, a purple wire
6 - Input side of pot, a blue wire
7- open
8 - + side of LED
9 - Jumper to + from battery and AC jack.

I based this on the directions that Stew-Mac has for the using the Fulltone switch http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/I-1561.html

The only thing I couldn't figure out is what they intend to go to lug 2, the instructions just say "run the green wire from the PCB dicsonnect to terminal 2 and solder." None of the other wires are the same color as the directions, and they don't mention what that wire is.

Any ideas?

I would strongly recommend posting the question @ http://www.diystompboxes.com/forums/stompboxforum/ if you don't get an answer here--that forum is frequented by many who build and mod stompboxes.
