Great video... what kind of bass is Ronnie Lane playing here? Never seen one like that before.

I'd bet money on Zemaitis. I am not familiar with that particular bass but it has a lot of Zemaitis features, plus Ronnie is a big Zemaitis user - you know, that engraved metal front LP he plays?

It is a Zemaitis, handmade by Tony Zemaitis in 1970, about the same time he was making the "tin-top" Les Paul-styled guitar for Ronnie Wood. (you'll notice that Woodie's using a Dan Armstrong for slide here, soon to be replaced by the black three-pickup Zemaitis with the round pickguard).

That bass is currently owned by (Ozzy/Rainbow/Uriah Heep) bassist Bob Daisley, who also owns a bunch of other "historic" English basses, including one of Bill Wyman's Framuses. You can see it in the collection here (http://www.bobdaisley.com/gallery-guitars.html).
