I posted this in the Theory/Practice or whatever it's called section as well, but wanted to get opinions here as well since it does have to do with playing in church somewhat.
I play in my church band and have recently been approached by a member about giving lessons to their 9 or 10 year old son. This is something that I've been open to doing, but he will be my 1st student and I was hoping that some of you experienced guitar teachers out there could give me some advice on what to do/not do.
He has taken some lessons in the past so he's not a complete beginner in that he knows how to tune up and at least some of the basics.
I would appreciate any suggestions on the best way to make it fun and challenging especially in relation to a boy of that age and what they can handle.
thanks
