Royal Tele

Hey everyone. I'm really encouraged to find a forum on here for "Worship Service Players". Pretty cool. It does say on the forum's sub-heading that this is for all religions, etc., but I'm not ashamed to proclaim that Jesus Christ is the one I worship! =)
I actually lead worship for Engaging the Battle Ministries. (www.engagingthebattle.org) We are a start-up church fellowship in the Dallas, TX area and we also have a free weekend event we put on at different hosting venues to educate and equip believers to engage in the battle of spiritual warfare that is constantly going on all the time (call it a "seminar" if you must, although there's much more engagement and much less sitting for hours than at your usual seminars). There is way too much to try to say here about that, but check out the website if you want.
I lead from a Walden acoustic a lot, as well as my Telecaster (probably half and half, actually). I go: Tele > tuner > TS-9 > MXR 10-Band EQ (set up for boost) > Fender HRDlx (with a TC Electronic Nova Delay in the FX loop).
I love to use my Tele when we're just "soaking" in the presence of the Lord for some lush and "ethereal" sounds with verb and delay. And then the Tele is awesome for more rocking and edgy stuff too.
I actually used to play a Les Paul for a long time. On one hand I was getting tired of it in some ways, and on the other hand I had found myself idolizing it way too much. I'd always wanted a Telecaster. So I sold the LP and used some of the money to fund a Warmoth Tele build project. It's a pretty simple guitar in terms of looks. I ordered the raw pieces and finished it myself with Tru-Oil. I put a set of Lollar Special T pickups in it and it sounds really great.
Anyway, I enjoy using my Telecaster to glorify the Lord, and I'm glad to be among others who do the same. And yes, this whole forum is primarily for Tele-talk (with this sub-forum specified for Tele-playing worshipers), but if we aren't sharing the truth about Jesus Christ, then what are we doing? Let's hear some testimonies!
Blessings,
Eric
