Can we have log-ins last a bit longer, please?

I really don't see the benefit in having each log-in expire so quickly. If I take any time at all to compose a carefully thought-out post, I usually have to log in again when I'm done. Why not let us stay logged in for, say, fifteen minutes? Half an hour? Or maybe, God forbid, until leaving the site?

Tick the "Remember Me" box when logging in..

ummm i haven't had to re-log in since I originally logged in. I am logged in now, but soon will turn my computer off and go ride a bike, play a guitar, something. When I come back, I will turn my computer on, hit the little button in my bookmark bar, and be at the TDPRI home page, ready to post/see pics, etc. I am sure there's a "keep me logged in" or at least "remember me on this computer" option.

I doubt I could even correctly recall my username OR password.

I'm recognised on about 12 computer IP addresses. Tick "remember me".

I just put up a post about this very issue.
The way to keep signed in is to ensure that once a cookie has been installed on your computer from the site that you want to visit often it stays there. This depends on Browser and Software concerns.
It seems that Windows and some Security software are including deletion of cookies at the end of the session, in other words, when you close the window the cookie is erased.
You might try this.
If you are using Firefox:
go to Tools
go to options
go to privacy
check the Accept Cookies from site
check the Accept 3rd party cookies
hit the "keep until" and place "until they expire".

If you are using IE:
go to tools
go to Internet options
go to Privacy
make sure the slider is on Medium strength

I hope these work for you, I still can't get cookies to stay.

Logins expire after 30 mins of inactivity. If you've got logins lasting shorter than that then it's something on your computer or your internet connection that is causing the log out.
