Fender pickups

I just got this beautiful Strat, MIM with Standard pickups (ceramic magnets)

What could I expect converting to TexMex or even Texas Special p/ups.

Maybe some of you have experience to give me descriptional input.

It will sound brighter and sharper to your ears compared to the ceramics. More 'defined', perhaps. You'd might need to adjust the amp a bit differently. And maybe a slightly different playing approach.

Some people prefer the ceramic pickups. Others breathe a big sigh of relief when they first play their alnico pickups.

Only one way to find out which way you are, I'm afraid.

TG hit it dead on. I switched my standard tele pickups for texas specials, and they sounded alot clearer and brighter. It was definitely a good change in my opinion. I did have to adjust the amp eq alot, though. I previously had the treble turned up very high, but with the different pickups, it was a little overwhelming at that level.
