Need Advice With a Project (tele)

Hi Fender Fan's (Telecaster)
Ive been reading lots of post and many of you have or are building a project telecaster guitar.I have 2 fender guitar 1 is a tele Squier that a luthier as turn into a very good instrument and a Start Plus 40th aniversery,but my love for a tele is strong and my next tele is going to be built to my spec's.I have a few parts vintage noisless fender pick-up and switch-pots-jack-caps kit again from fender U.S.A..my question are the following!!!

is wood construction important EX. swamp ash vs alder vs pine vs ??? any choice here.ive been looking at E-BAY and found a few but im not decided yet
but it will be natural or blond 52 R.I. or 69thin-line

next bridge: I would like the model with the 3 brass saddle I like the look's of it, any make model better than other

and pick-guard: 1 ply 3 ply 5 ply wath give's is it about thickness better sound control ????

can't waith to start this thing youre help and advise will be apreciated :wink:

You will probably get as many opinions as there are stars in the sky! Most of the answers to your questions come down to personal preferance!
My preference for blonde or natural bodies is Ash. I like the grain.
Many on the forum swear by the Callaham bridges due to the thicker bridge plate, but there is nothing wrong with a good ole fender usa bridge.
My personal preference for the pickguard is single ply black. To me, it just has that retro vibe!
