question: was the 10" deluxe the first amp leo made?

In addition to the Model 26/Deluxe, there was also a Princeton and a Professional. That was 1946.

Don't forget, though, that he made amps under K&F prior to that (1945?).

No, the K&Fs were completely different (and even varied slightly among themselves), and came in an 8" and 10" model.

The Model 26 was one of "the Woodies": Princeton (8"), Deluxe (10"), and Professional (15").

K&F was such a small operation that they didn't really have "lines" per se, and a lot of the amps were custom one-offs and experiments. I'm pretty sure the folks who would know which amp was the first out of the gate are long dead. :wink:

Pretty similar circuit, as I recall (Is it even in the Pittman book?). But, for more info I suggest you post in the amp forum or have this moved by the mods. [Mod. edit: Great minds think alike... ;-) ]At least, over there you'll likely get some real experts, instead of yours truly.
